[News/Alerts] NEW! Reopening Stedelijk Museum
The new Stedelijk Museum will open to the public on Sunday 23 September 2012. The museum’s permanent collection will be displayed in the beautifully restored historical building, with fixed spots for highlights like paintings by Malevich, The Beanery by Edward Kienholz and works by Willem de Kooning and Andy Warhol. Half of the ground floor is reserved for the best pieces from the design collection, to demonstrate the Stedelijk’s importance in the design realm. The new addition by Benthem Crouwel Architekten offers plenty of space for exhibitions. On 15 December 2012 the long-awaited retrospective of the American artist Mike Kelley premieres at the Stedelijk.
