The traditional Tuen Ng (Dragon Boat) Festival will be held on the fifth day of the fifth moon (June 23, 2012). The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival will occur on July 2, followed by the Club Crew World Championship from July 4-8. There will be many dragon boat races in various bays & in Victoria Harbour this summer.
Hong Kong welcomes the ancient Chinese custom to the waters of the East Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront in spectacular Victoria Harbour. There, tens of thousands of spectators will gather to see thousands of the world’s best dragon boat paddlers compete in a variety of events, including the 8th International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) Club Crew World Championships and the legendary Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races. Over twenty teams from Canada comprised of men and women will be among the competitors from around the world.
