Health/Convenience

Important information of the peripatetic person.

One of a tourist’s greatest consideration is not the hotel, or the destination or even the food. It’s the thought of being ill away from familiar caregivers.
And if you happen to be in a developing country what do you do, where do you go?

Firstly, before you leave on any trip, book an appointment at a travel clinic and find out the shots and/or medicines that you should carry take with you. And that’s from the slightest cough which could turn into a lung infection to an itch that may be something more than a mere bite. And it would be great if readers send in their tales of woe or wonder when they’ve been ill away from home ,family doctor, familiar hospital. One hint from me, is that when I leave for any “exotic” developing country or village, I always travel with two needles. Either your pharmacy or you doctor would agree that a clean needle when needed in an emergency
situation, may be a life saver.

That’s only one of the tips you’ll find in this category. But above all, be well. And who doesn’t want to get off a plane with an extremely long lay-over between connections and not know what to do.
